A fantastic Symphonic/Power Metal band, any Metal fan that enjoys operatic vocals and the occasional orchestral backing to the music will get a kick out of this band. album recommendations would be "Oceanborn" "Century Child" "Once" and "Imaginaerium" (the last album features a new singer to the others, who is slightly less operatic, just thought I should point that out)

Your QT about Nightwish perfectly summarizes them. I personally think Nighwish's prime material would be ideal music for a top-tier quality space-fantasy videogame (I'm listening to "Passion and the Opera" right now and it sounds like something for an epic boss battle).
