Thrash metal band Slayer formed in 1981 in Huntington Park, California. Their first album Show No Mercy was released in 1983 and was followed by eight other studio albums, the latest being Christ Illusion (2006). Despite changing drummers several times, the Slayer line-up has remained solid.
