Questionable name, but unquestionably good!

Samurai Sam's is a great place for getting a quick bite or grabbing lunch with co-workers. Since it's located in a shopping plaza, parking is almost never an issue, plus you have your dessert shops nearby along with everyone's favorite drug store, CVS, and Bristol Farms, the organic, albeit expensive and of the guilt-tripping variety, grocery.

I always get their large teriyaki chicken because it's good, cheap ($5.99), and the portion is plentiful, which I believe is the definition of great value. You also have the option of choosing white meat or dark meat as well as white rice or brown rice. I usually get dark meat because it's far more delicious than white meat, though it is less healthier. I've also had their chicken yakisoba which is tasty. You'll find that their menu includes all the usual suspects: sushi, chicken, beef, noodles, rice, soup, bentou boxes, etc. Moreover, they have a poster with nutritional facts for your viewing pleasure as well as an online version on their website.

They also actually have a decent dining area with a couple of flat screens and a rack of magazines to choose from and a long sushi bar with stools.

Lunch time tends to get hectic, so you would ideally want to avoid the 12pm-1pm hour.

All in all, Samurai Sam's has good, not amazing, but good food for appropriate prices.

The portion served in the US and Canada are certainly huge! I remembered when I first arrived in Toronto, I can only eat 1/4 of a plate of chicken rice! Anyone who names his store Samurai certainly got my vote of confidence, LOL...
