Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill - Plano, TX

LYD Recommendation: Dallas is a land-locked metropolis which makes it difficult at times to find superb seafood at a reasonable price. LYD’s search washed up Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill in Plano, which has been serving the Metroplex with fine delicacies of the sea for four years. Sea Breeze distributes and caters to many Dallas area locations but head to Plano to take a gander at the superior fresh seafood and you can order any of your favorite fish dishes made with Sea Breeze flair, one of their market fresh catches of the day cooked how you want it, or venture out with their unique chef specialties. Most everything here is some kind of seafood creation but there are some options for the kiddos and those who might be anti-crustacean. But if you are a lover of the sea you can “Bring the ocean home!”, as Sea Breeze would say, or have them cook it for you; either way it saves you a boat trip and a Dramamine purchase!

Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill was voted as the ‘Best Neighborhood Restaurant’ and its location off Preston Road in the heart of Plano makes it great laid-back spot to grab a great meal for the whole family! Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill is more than just a restaurant; it’s a full seafood market with an array of seafood options with fish so fresh you’d think they had the ocean at their back door. Choose from Ahi tuna, cod, swordfish, salmon, shrimp, lobster, crab, mussel, sea scallop and other eatable ocean swimmers to take home and cook a romantic meal yourself or get a entrees cooked deliciously for you. All of Sea Breeze’s products are “Fresh, never frozen”, which is music to the ears of seafood lovers. Flown in daily from the waters of New England, Alaska, and the Gulf, patrons will enjoy such fresh catches that even would impress an Admiral of the Navy. Stock up with the freshest seafood your fridge has ever encased, which are all cut and ready for you to season, grill, steam, or blacken to cook a tasty and healthy meal.

Deciding on a main dish can be difficult, so start the meal off with any of Sea Breeze’s scrumptious appetizers. Presentation is king and their precise food design skills really add to the entire dining experience at Sea Breeze. Sesame Crusted Yellow-Fin Tuna Nachos are definitely a big hit; six bite-size crispy corn tortilla chips decorated with thick slices of sesame seed-crusted tuna with drizzles of avocado wasabi sauce giving it a zesty kick. The nachos sit neighborly to crunchy, tangy homemade Asian coleslaw made of purple cabbage, cilantro, and a spicy sauce with a Kung Fu kick. If you are looking for something light, but fulfilling, choose one of their salad options. The Shrimp Salad is comprised of crisp mixed greens covered with chunks of blue cheese, warm and succulent bacon bits, and several small shrimp with chopped onions and spices. The Wild Field Greens Salad incorporates huge bites of sesame-seared tuna that are delicately placed atop a mountain of garden greens and then bedazzled with a splash of homemade balsamic vinaigrette that makes the the salad look oh-so-good. In addition to the leaves, it is also decked out with Sea Breeze’s own Asian ‘slaw, giving a spicy, tangy flavor to the salad’s tuna.

For those of you in need of more than salad to fulfill those hunger pangs, Sea Breeze highlights many sandwiches, fried plates, New England favorites, chef specialties, and daily specials. The House Smoked Atlantic Salmon is a Russian breakfast dish served with egg salad on a buckwheat blini. Traditionally, buckwheat blinis are a thick version of a pancake served with caviar and egg, but Sea Breeze took that idea with a twist of creativity to reach a general audience. The buckwheat blini is stuffed with smoked salmon instead of caviar and Grandma-approved egg salad. You can also choose the Grilled Mahi-mahi Tacos, made with mounds of the mild fish and spiced with the zinging peppers of the chipotle aioli and wrapped with flour tortillas. Sea Breeze really knows how to delight with vibrant colors for the eyes to relish in and maxxed-out flavors for the mouth to savor!

Sweets and homemade treats are also available to end the meal in the best way. Check out the bread pudding that is infused with either mango or chocolate blackberry! It’s not often that you find a flavored bread pudding and Sea Breeze makes a delicious one to boot! This treat is prepared warm with a dollop of vanilla ice cream oozing and melting its way down the plate. Add in lightly decorated strawberry and butterscotch sauce and this bread pudding will be almost irresistible!

With a fish market on the premises, you can enjoy fresh ocean catches flown-in so you can feast on the catch of the day as if Dallas was an island in the sun. Stop in and grab your delicacy, or sit and relax with a beer and reel in the entree!!

Awesome review, yum! Just a note to anyone reading - Russians do not eat Smoked Atlantic Salmon with egg salad on a buckwheat blini very often, very few would be able to afford it! Perhaps only the elite businessmen in Moscow and St.Pertersburg actually do, lol! :)
