The "At-a-Gance" calendar seems like something I can do without. I keep it on my desk, but it less than 3 feet from my wall calendar. This year I thought I would try to do without it since it seems like it does not serve a purpose. I was wrong.... within a two weeks (of the New Year) I decided I need to go ahead and make the minimal investment (they are not expensive) and update my "At-a-Glance" calendar for the New Year.
What I like -
- It can come in handy as scratch paper - I write phone numbers and small notes on the pages - which can then be ripped out.
- By flipping the page to the correct date I am forced to recognize the date. I know this sounds crazy, but this is why I missed the calendar - it required me to look at the date at the beginning of each day
- As someone mentioned, once you have the holder the additional expense is minimal.
- Does not take up too much space- but it sits as a reminder to everyone who enters my office about the date.
Final Verdict - While I still need my wall calendar (and my day-by-day planner) the "At-a-Glance" calendar serves a useful purpose in my office.
