Pros: fresh orange scent, even the cat notices it.
Cons: I can only find this product at Trader Joe's
The Bottom Line: An orange smelling home is a wonderful refreshing feeling.
Since my autistic son is not toilet trained I am busy changing the Goodnites many times each day and night. We added a cat to our household, which means a cat litter box in the bathroom.
I really did not like using the Glade and Air Wick canisters in the house due to the hazards and wanted something more natural and safe for our family. I have asthma and do not want to breathe in all those smells. I tried the Avon sprays in cinnamon but they are so small and cost five dollars. I also tried Watkins with the same issues in size and cost.
Finally I noticed that Trader Joe's carried a slim spray in a 4.6 fluid ounce bottle with white cap. This is Air Therapy Original Orange. It boasts on the container that it has up to 2000 sprays and is non-aerosol. "Purify, Freshen, Protect... the Air you breathe Naturally!"
This really caught my eye and the orange scent is one that would be welcome in my household. The bottle shows orange slices on it and whole oranges, instead of flowers. There are no harmful chemicals and one spray is all it takes. It is also known as Aromatherapeutic which will bring relief from stress.
There are no fumes, safe for restaurants, homes, spas, clinics, RVs, autos and home. Air Therapy Original Orangeis made in the U.S. A. and U.S.D.A. accepted. This is to be stored in a cool place, not to be sprayed over plastic surface, kept away from open flames and out of reach of children.
It was around my third bottle that the nozzle came off and I called the toll-free number listed - 1-800-292-6339. It is mentioned on the side of the canister to not return product to store but to contact them via the telephone. It turned out they were located here in California and changing the nozzle and had difficulty with some of them. The person on the phone took the information regarding which store I went to and sent me several free nozzles in the mail and asked me to check the store to see if the stock had old or new nozzles. I was happy with the customer service I received. This is a Mia Rose product, their website is www.miarose.com.
There is an important tip in orange bubble on the side of the canister. It says that due to the power of the pure citrus oils the white tip may stick and gives instructions on how to fix that, using a q-tip with specific details. The contents are - " an environmentally-safe biodegradable, concentrated liquid derived from a perfect blend of pure essential oils, distilled from the peels of ORANGES, nothing else."
This has not been tested on animals and can be recycled as aluminum and has no CFCs. The smell is wonderful and smells just like oranges. The lid is easy to remove and snap back on. My children really like the scent throughout the house and the litter box is undetected in the bathroom, along with usual bathroom odors. I will spray the door at night when the skunks come around to eat the catfood on the front steps.
I like that the Air Therapy Original Orange is not thick and bulky, but slim and easy to store without being recognized as an air freshener. The 2000 sprays does last a long time. This is a wonderful product that is safe to use. I also spray this when the neighbor walks by our open windows and is smoking. For the bedroom I spray into the air conditioner so the car exhaust fumes from next door driveway do not enter into the bedroom. It gives off a nice aroma to the bedroom and helps the kids sleep in a relaxed state.
I recommend this orange spray to all households that want environmentally friendly products. This is a sure thing that costs little for the lasting effect it creates.
