Pros: Smooth complexion, nice scent

Cons: Can dry out the skin.

The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a nice product to use for normal to oily skin.  Can dry the skin out if used to frequently.

Alba is well known for producing skin care products that have a tropical theme to their labeling and ingredient use.  Their products are easily found in retail stores and are relatively low cost as compared to some of the other products on the market.  One of their products that I do use on a regular basis is Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser.  This cleanser can be found in quantities ranging from two ounces up to eight.  The cost for this will vary from $4-$13 depending on the size.  Alba offers products that range from lip gloss to scented lotions.

I received a trial size of Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser and was happy with the overall results.  I began purchasing the larger bottle and included it as part of facial cleansing processes.  I found that after using the cleanser, was skin was left feeling smooth and soft and with less occurrences of acne.  It has a light pineapple scent that is nice as you don't often find this scent in a cleanser.  The texture of the cleanser is a little thick but it lathers up nicely.  I typically use this cleanser when I am not wearing make-up as it does not work extremely well with removing it.  If I use another product to remove my make-up before hand, I will then the Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser.  One thing I did discover is that the daily use of this product, tended to dry out my skin.  I now use this product a few days a week in the shower and have created a nice balanced routine.  On days that my face feels more oily than usual, I will use this as it feels as though this access residue is removed without stripping the skin.

Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser is recommended for normal to oily skin.  As I saw the potential drying effect, I cannot recommend this cleanser for dry skin as it will likely make it worse.  The formula has been made with aloe, blends of papaya and awapuhi, and pineapple.  They advertise that these products will gently and effectively lift away impurities while soothing and hydrating.  The formula has been created to preserve and maintain the delicate pH balance of the skin.  The fruit enzymes in the pineapple help break down and remove dull or dead surface cells for a nice complexion.

Using Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser is very simple and requires only warm water.  After applying a small amount (typical a nickel size is sufficient) of cleanser to your hands, you will want to work it into a creamy lather and run over your neck and face.  The product rinses easily away.

Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser is hypo-allergenic and does not contain sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate or other harsh chemicals.  It is pH balances and uses 100% vegetarian items.  No animals have been used to test the products.

Overall, Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser is a nice product for use a few times a week.  Although my skin did dry out after everyday use, a few times a week seemed to work best for me.  I would recommend the product as I can tell a different in my complexion from using the product on a continuous basis.

Ooooh, this sounds like it smells so yummy! Thanks for the heads up on the skin dryness though. When I use this, I'll definitely remember to moisturize well!

Great review, thanks! I love Alba products, but have never tried anything for the face (only lotions and body washes).
