I know it's incredibly old school of me, but I love my iPod mini. I was so disappointed when they came out with the Nano, which is too small for my tastes. I'm afraid I'll sit on it and break it. The shuffles are cute and see less vulnerable, but they don't hold enough music.

My mini is just right. It's big enough and sturdy enough that I know I won't break it. It holds enough music to keep me occupied on a long vacation, but not enough that I can have whatever I want on it. I actually prefer this because sometimes I get bored with the music on it, and it's time for me to go through my entire music collection and find stuff I'd forgotten was in there. Any excuse to listen to an old favorite, you know?

I might be a few years behind, it's true. The Mini doesn't have a color screen, or a touch screen. It doesn't play videos and it certainly doesn't show me the album cover of whatever song I'm listening to. But it's mine, and I love it.

I like the mini, too! I had the silver one when they first came out, and then coincidentally inherited the same pink one you're reviewing here. That gadget feels good in your hand and bounces back well from being dropped on the sidewalk, two rapidly diminishing attributes in iPods.
