I've had my MacBook for about 3 and a half years now and I've had it repaired once. After I had it repaired, my battery started acting funny and started expanding. I looked online and apparently it's a problem that other users were having. With my old Powerbook, I found out that there was a battery recall and i was able to get it switched out but with this one, it was so far out of warranty I was worried that I'd be outta luck. Here's what it kinda looked like:

So I took it to the Apple store, told them my problem and within 5 minutes I was in and outta there with a brand new battery. Traded my busted 3+ year old busted battery with over 450 cycles for a brand new one. Not bad. So if anyone else is having the same problem, just do what I did!
