Perfect Pasta Everythime: A Barilla Spaghetti, 32-Ounce Boxes Review

I'm a chef, I like to cook, and I enjoy eating many types of food. My pasta of choice is Montebello organic pasta, which is available locally at a more competitive price. When the Vine program offered Barilla pasta, I went nuts and ordered several shapes. The Spaghetti no.5 is the perfect choice for preparing spaghetti carbonara.

Barilla, established in Parma Italy during 1877, is Italy's #1 brand of pasta. Barilla Pasta, a product of the USA, is made from semolina (wheat), durum flour, niacin, iron (ferrous sulfate), thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid. Each box contains about 8 - 2 ounce servings of about 200 calories each. Preparation simply requires boiling each box in 8-12 quarts of water for 9 minutes for "al dente" or 10 minutes for a more tender pasta.

I brought my water to a boil as I prepared the base sauce. When the timing was right, I stirred two servings of spaghetti into boiling water. Before I knew it, nine minutes had passed and I had perfectly cooked pasta. None of the pieces stuck together and they remained intact, and I had no problems stirring the pasta into the cheese sauce and remaining ingredients.

Dinner turned out looking appetizing and as delicious as ever. If you're searching for reasonably priced domestic pasta, your search is over. Buy Barilla with confidence.

PROS:
Simple to prepare
Pasta retains its shape
Pleasing taste
Barilla attempts to be environmentally friendly

CONS:
None
