If you're an AFOL, you know you want this LEGO iPhone 5 case...
Aug 13, 2013
If you're an AFOL (Adult Fan Of LEGO), you know you want this, regardless of the price... the Belkin iPhone 5 LEGO Case. 97 studs worth of fun on the back of your iPhone, just waiting for you to build whatever you'd like.
To be truthful, this is probably more of a novelty than a case you'd buy if you were looking for protection and padding against iPhone drops. Having said that, it *is* a decent case. It's a hard plastic shell, and all the access holes line up very well. It's made by Belkin, which is a well-known and respected name for smart phone cases and shells. It won't be a whole lot of help if you send your iPhone flying across a room, but it will protect it from the daily wear and tear of normal usage.
But let's be honest... if you buy this, it's because you like/love LEGO and it's cool. There's no chance you're going to mistake your phone for someone else's (provided you're not at a LEGO convention or LEGOLand), and it'll be a great conversation starter. Carry a few loose LEGO bricks in your purse or backpack, and you have some decent entertainment for those times when you're stuck on a long boring conference call.
If you look at the price on this and think "boy, that's rather steep", then it's a pretty good chance that this is not the iPhone case for you. My guess is that if you're a LEGO fan, you'll ignore the price and know it's worth it.
