How cute is this packaging?
I picked this up from Ebay which was such a good deal because it was £15 as it didn't have the brush, I hate the brushes that come free with stuff anyway so what a bargain!
I love the little rose gold tin that this comes in, it is pretty useless in the sense that it does not have any type of lid on the sifter part so when you open the lid unless you have kept it flat then the powder just flies out all over the place (note to self, do not take this in handbag then open it again) a large powdery mess ensued. But it's just so retro and pretty! The top is a screw top, in case that makes any difference.
This is a lovely rose gold/tan colour fine milled face powder that gives you a “luminous” finish, I guess to make you look hot in one minute??
It looked a bit scary when I opened up the tin but then I swatched it and it is really really subtle. In fact so subtle that you can't even see it on this swatch haha!
So I thought I had better try it on my face so you can see the effect. It gives a very subtle glow to the face, with a sheen thats not glittery or shimmery like benefits highbeam but it does give a tiny bit of shimmer and a tiny bit of a tan colour - tiny tiny bit.
I think this product is really good at giving a subtle natural glow which I am actually quite surprised about as I thought it would be dark and maybe good as a highlighter on the cheekbones but this is so much better. The powder feels so soft on my face, I applied it with a kabuki brush all over the face with extra on the cheeks and I think this will be a great powder to use every day.
I also think this would look good on all skintones, it will produce a different effect but I think it would look very nice.
