I'm not 100% won-over yet, but it's a pretty good product.

The first thing I tried when I got the blender was to chop some bell peppers because I was making quesadillas and saw the blender had a "chop" button. Well, it made a complete mess of the peppers. Some were still in the larger chunks they were when I put them in the blender, some was chopped, some was mush--a mess.
Today, with a 100+ heat index making life unbearable, I stopped by a coffee shop on the way home and got an iced mocha. They put very little ice in it and, with this heat and the ride home in the car, it was pretty watery. I decided I wanted a FROZEN mocha or cappuchino. A quick hunt through the pantry and some crushed ice later, I had a smooth, creamy and delectable frozen drink!
So far, it's a thumbs UP on the blending function and a thumbs DOWN on the chopping function. The crush ice function very wisely pulses on and off BY ITSELF (kinda freaked me out at first!) since it is so easy to overheat a motor crushing ice. Since I was using crushed ice from my fridge, it didn't have to work as hard and had the ice down to a completely smooth consistency in no time, so thumbs UP on that function as well.
It's a nice-looking unit but frankly, when I first got it out of the box, I thought it was plastic everything because that's how it looked to me initially. But actually, it is quite hefty and very sturdy with a glass container. It is very noisy when crushing ice, which is to be expected.
