Pro-like camera for the amateur, yet serious photographer!

This is a great camera if you don't want to spend tons of money on a camera, but you don't want to jeopardize the quality and control over of your photos. This camera is small enough to stick in a purse or a day pack. It's not too heavy and is the perfect camera for any trip. It has manual tools that give you ultimate control over the final shot. The flip screen alows you to play with the angles of your composition and again gives you more control over the final product - this is why I like to say this is a great camera for the amateur, yet serious photographer. It's a great buy for sure! The quality of the images is great and it's a reliable product - with a pretty good warranty. Plus, they say that once you know how to use a Canon you can use any camera. Canon is the best - hands down.

They have tons of cool tools like panoramic options, coloring options, color spotting, etc.

Great review. I still prefer my film SLR, but do have a Sony pocket digital, 8mp. These are great shots -- good eye to detail. Canon does sound like a great company; their Rebel line is very popular.

Canon is a great company. I recently sent in my old PowerShot because it stopped working and they paid for the shipping, repaired it and sent it back in working condition! I've heard that if they can't fix it, they'll send you a newer model, free. That's pretty good customer service! :)

How much does the camera run? For the quality of those pictures, it seems like it'd be a lot of money. Thanks for the review. I will have to look into this.
