Pros: Very Inexpensive; Good Food; All You Can Eat Buffet
Cons: You just might eat too much
Before my grandparents brought me and Dionne25 to Cici's for dinner while visiting Orlando, I had never heard of the chain. I have no idea why there isn't a Cici's where I live, but now I really want one to open!
I thought my grandparents were being extremely kind and generous when they told us they were treating us to dinner. We arrived at Cici's, where Dionne and I found out that the dinner was only $2.99 per person for all you can eat! Being the buffet fiend I am, I was stoked to start loading up my plate. The total for four adults (including sodas and tax) came to a little over $17. How's that for more then your money's worth?
Being a New Yorker (where the best pizza in the world is made), I must admit that I was a little hesitant to try not only a new chain of pizza, but one in the South. However, Dionne and I were starving, so we jumped right in.
The Cici's that we went to (on Hiawatha in Orlando) was morbidly understaffed. The manager was taking a phone order while trying to deal with the crowd before him. It was about 10 minutes before he called someone else over (who was taking her break in the main restaurant) to help us. After we were all paid for, we grabbed our plates and hit the buffet.
Talk about variety! Spinach pizza, white pizza, regular cheese pizza, pastas, a salad bar, and don't forget your dessert buffet with chocolate pizza, vanilla pizza, apple pizza. . . You name it and they've got it! You can even request that they make a certain type of pizza, and they will! It's great. My favorite was this white pizza with chicken and mushrooms on it.
Everything was piping hot. It may not have been the best quality pizza I've ever had, but it was much better than Domino's and Papa John's. I can't believe how much I actually ate.
If you have a chance, I recommend you try Cici's. It's a great place for families and friends-- college students in particular.
