The lighting in my mancave isn't the greatest when it comes to doing detailed work (like working inside my computer case). As such, I was happy to request the Coast HP4 High Performance 95 Lumen LED Penlight via the Amazon Vine review program. After having used it for a few weeks, I must say that I love this flashlight. It's perfect for what I use it for.
The Coast penlight packs a lot of brightness in a small package. The beam is broad enough to light up a relatively decent-sized work area, but narrow enough to focus most of the light where it's being aimed. It's a nice blend given that the lens doesn't rotate to focus the light beam. The on-off switch is activated by clicking on the top (imagine the action of a retractable pen). A partial pressing of the top turns on the light temporarily while you hold it down. It's easy to reach with your thumb, so you can manage the operation with a single hand.
I think what I like best is the form factor. The case is narrow, not much larger than the size of the two AAA batteries that power the unit. The metal case has an etched cross-hatch pattern that makes the grip more solid than something like smooth plastic. Most important, it's very lightweight. I can easily hold the penlight in cramped areas, or even grip it in my teeth if I need both hands.
I really don't have any downside comments for the Coast HP4 penlight. Great form factor and good performance. This would be a brand and model I wouldn't hesitate to purchase if I needed another penlight in the future.
