Not as great of a deal as I hoped

I got this car seat just under a year ago for our then 2 year old who has always been tall. Although it has been very easy to install in any car I've put it in, about seven vehicles at this point, I was very shocked to see the seat cover the last time I took it off to wash it. I had hand washed it once and let it drip dry last summer yet with less than a year of use the cover was wearing out down to the padding in several places and the seams were coming apart in others.
