Pros: Professional stitching and soft nylon.

Cons: The leash might not fit all sized collars.

The Bottom Line: Save yourself some money and buy the best, you will not be dissatisfied.

My wife and I have owned several different kinds of dogs through out our years. We have had three German shepherds, three St. Bernard's, collies, miniature schnauzers and other various names. This leash made by Guardian has been the longest lasting leash that we have owned. You will probably end up spending a lot more money if you purchased the cheaper ones; the other ones do not have the proper sewing and clips to hold them in place and stay in one piece. You can purchase these kinds of collars and leashes at any pet supply store. The most popular store to purchase these at would be Petsmart and Petco. The collar, alone will cost you around $15, and the leash at approximately $12. We have passed this leash and collar from dog to dog, and have had no loose stitching to be worried about. At first a lot of the bigger dogs like to pull a lot, but then we get a specialized training collar to start them out and switch them over to the softer nylon style, and this seems to do the trick. On the smaller dogs of course we have to buy a smaller collar, but we can still use the same leash.

Description
Both the collar and leash are made up of very durable high quality soft and smooth nylon. They come in various lengths and sizes and colors. The clip at the end of the six-foot leash is a spring loaded clip that quickly comes undone when you need it to. It is made up of a very rust resistant steel. The collar has a separate sewn in D-ring, along with a quick release plastic buckle. All you have to do is compressed the two tabs of this quick release buckle and the collar pops off of your dog. Once you get this leash and collar at home, you will definitely notice. They're very professional looking sewing job that was done to make these products last.

Experience
These types who are leashes and collars are not made to use on a dog to tie him up outside, they are for walking purposes only. But, just to let you know that I have tried it on a cable system with a 60 pound German Shepherd running full speed, and the ding-a- ling dog did not know that the cable has an end to it. When she came to the end of the cable she did a complete somersault when it stops suddenly. Neither the leash nor the collar came undone. These withstood the pressure of the German Shepherd or miniature schnauzers went chasing after some rabbits and birds. This particular leash is wide enough that you will not have to worry about it getting tangled up or getting knots.

Durability
This collar and leash is very durable and easy to clean you can even throw them in your clothes washer. Because the stitching is done in a professional manner you will not have to worry about frayed ends. I do have a couple of these leashes and collars, because I have three dogs and need them. My wife and I have been using these for years, and the clip at the end of the leash is still quite a bit of spring left on it and none of the sewing has come undone. The little plastic buckle on the collar seems to be still in tact and still has a lot of spring tension left in the clip. This collar and lease is an every day collar and leash, it which will look comfortable and feel better for your dog.

Conclusion
For even the smallest of dogs to the largest of dogs, I can highly recommend that you will not have a problem with this type of leash and collar. It will be money well spent if you plan on having a dog the rest of your life.
