Pros: Great tasting, thick textured rich tomato ketchup with easy to use upside down squeeze bottle.
Cons: It may be a little more pricey, but worth the cost!
The Bottom Line: Heinz Tomato Ketchup is delicious and compliments any dish. I use it in my meatloafs as well as with fries and on sandwiches.
Some people say it is difficult to tell the difference between brands of ketchup, but I beg to differ! Heinz Tomato Ketchup has a delicious thick robust flavor that cannot be matched! Why, I even took the blind fold tomato challenge for my family. We had three different brands of ketchup and I put on my blindfold and did the taste test. Even if you could not recognize the rich tomato flavor, you could never be fooled on the thick slow flow of the ketchup as it leaves the unique upside down squeeze bottle in the 20.oz. bottle. This convenient upside down squeeze bottle helps me to make my hamburgers more easily since I only need one hand to open the simple flip top cap and the ketchup flows easily out of the bottle with a gentle squeeze. I just wish I could find mustard that would work this well!
When I was living at home, my mother would use different brands of ketchup according to which one was on sale at the time she shopped. I can definitely recognize the too sweet flavor of Hunt's and Delmonte's. I did not start using Heinz Tomato Ketchupuntil I was living on my own. It is generally a little more expensive than the other brands, but for me, it is worth it. It is not watery nor does it have small bits of tomatoes in the ketchup. It has a rich thick robust flavor of tomatoes that does have a great blend of spices. Did you know that Heinz Tomato Ketchup has lycopene which is an antioxidant in it? If you would like to read more on how lycopene benefits the human body, you can go to http:www.lycopene.org for the latest research.
The average serving size is one tablespoon, but I definitely use more than this. I like my french fries to be covered in ketchup.
