Pros: Prevent leaks, sensitive for toddler's skin, cute pattern.
Cons: More expensive than the store brand.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend these diapers as they prevent leaks and are gentle for a toddler.
We have been using Huggies Diapers with my daughter for the past two years. We have been so satisfied with the Huggies line that we have not ventured to any other brands except when we were given a freebie bag of Pampers. Huggies is well known for creating effective and gentle diapers and that have covered the bottoms of millions. She has been in the size 4 diapers for quite awhile now and we are close to moving to Pull Ups as potty training is right around the corner. Huggies makes diapers in the following sizes:
Size 1: Up to 14 pounds Size 2: 12-18 pounds Size 3: 16-28 pounds Size 4: 22-37 pounds Size 5: Over 27 pounds Size 6: Over 35 pounds
I originally started my daughter on the Huggies diapers because I was a first time mother and wanted to give her the best of everything. It did not take me long to figure out why they had such a good reputation and the cost a little higher than the store brands. Leaks were never an issue for us at any time and we have only experienced 1 leakage in the past 5-6.
The Huggies Diapers size 4 (Snug and Dry) feature a Mickey and Friends design is pleasurable to the child. Each size of the Snug and Dry diapers feature these characters in different scenarios. Although nobody really sees her in her diaper anymore, it is still fun to have a cute pattern for her. My daughter now seems to enjoy the pictures although this is a more recent trend.
The design of the Huggies Diapers size 4 is the same as most other disposable diapers. They have two tabs that are attached to the back of the diaper that when the front is pulled up, they attach and keep the diaper in place. The tabs have always held quite nicely and we have never had any problems with the tabs coming lose (except for when my daughter pulls them off). The overall design seems to allow for good protection even if the diaper is not in the exact placement it should be which is especially nice with a moving toddler who scoots and rolls around. These diapers are equipped with the Breathe Dry System which is a highly breathable cover that lets fresh air in to help keep baby's skin dry and prevent rashes. The Leak Lock System quickly absorbs moisture away from the toddler’s skin into the absorbent core to help stop leaks. Huggies Snug and Dry are also fitted with all-around stretch for super-snug fit further preventing leaks. Huggies diapers contain mild cosmetic ingredients to help keep skin soft and healthy-looking: petrolatum, ozokerite.
My daughter has not experienced any allergic reactions to the diapers and is not prone to diaper rash. We had a very hot summer and these diapers were able to protect her even on these uncomfortable days.
Overall, Huggies Diapers will cost a little more than many of the store brand diapers but the quality is superior. They can be trusted to do their job on a consistent basis.
Diaper Genie users, these diapers roll easily into a nice tight ball that stays closed tight with the tabs.
