I purchased Hugo Naturals Body Scrub after seeing a demonstration at Whole Foods given by none other than Mr. Hugo himself. Trust me he was quite the salesman--a combination of old-world charm and savvy dreamer of the American Dream. He stood in front of the store with giant wheels of his soap which he thoughtfully sliced for each of the patrons that showed interest. A natural entertainer, he would decide based on looks which of his natural fragrances would be most appropriate for the intended client. For me, he chose the Sea Fennel and Passion Flower Scrub.
And he chose well! I love it. The fragrance is delightful. I use the product in the bath. I rub it on my arms, my elbows, my shoulders, and especially my legs with a concentration on the ankles and knees. As a scrub, the product goes on with equal parts salt and sugar--when the solution is rinsed off, the real magic begins and the oil that binds the two together clings to the skin in a wonderful way that makes me feel sleek and smooth. Usually I wash first and then use the scrub to anoint myself in fragrance and softness. After I towel off, whatever I put on glides on with ease. The fragrance doesn't linger so it doesn't really interfere with your perfume.
Bottom line? I love this product and as long as I can find it, I will buy it. I use it on my body--I have never used it on my face as I think it might be too harsh. I love the fragrance, but it may be strong for some--I would test it out at a local Whole Foods to see if I liked it before ordering it. If you want the luxurious feel and like a lighter fragrance, Hugo Naturals makes many others--one of which is sure to please. Highly Recommended. Diana Faillace Von Behren "reneofc"
