Pros: Great continential food

Cons: Wait and often crowded

Murphy's is all things to all people, great food, wonderful staff that make you feel really special and super location!

The food at Murphy's ranges from midwestern fare to gourmet. Where to start since everything is so good? I love the lemon chicken soup and pesto bread. It's simply divine on a cold day. Pasta, and chicken are among my favorites here. All done with flourish and never heavy. All entrees served with salad and bread.

This all purpose restaurant is good for a romantic evening for just the two of you or when trying to impress a business client or folks from out of town. This is more a trendy upscale restaurant, so be prepared to dress up. It's old world charm with real world good taste and bang for the buck.

I always try to eat at Murphy's when I can as I rank it as one of my favorite Virginia Highland's restaurants. The wait can be a bit long both outside and inside but you really don't mind because it's worth it.
