This is a creepy story, and brings to mind several of the earlier works of Joe Hill's dad, Stephen King. There are bits and pieces from his father's works embedded in this book (including a passing reference to Mid-World) and he makes the most of them. We have an evil automobile, a vampire-like seemingly ageless (and possibly dead) villain, a bicycle that appears to take the rider across a missing bridge to wherever she wants to go, a strange young woman who foretells possible futures with …
