Solid and convenient keyboard for your entertainment center

I've used this RF keyboard with the trackball for four years and I have been overall very satisfied with it. I purchased it primarily for use with my living room PC which is connected to the television. When you are accessing media content in your living room you don't want to bother with a separate mouse and keyboard, and you want to be able to use the keyboard from anywhere without being tethered to the computer. This particular setup is very convenient for hand-held computer navigation and media access. The specialized media buttons are very helpful. The keyboard was fairly easy to set up with your computer although it did take me a few tries to pair it up with the USB receiver. However, once I was on a long vacation and when I arrived home it took me a while to pair it up again. Another glitch that my keyboard seems to be suffering from is that by default the numeric lock is switched on when I first turn on the computer, and I have to unlock it every single time. I am not sure if this is the defect of the keyboard or my particular computer setup though.

After not being used for a while the keyboard goes to sleep, and it requires pressing of any of the keys or other buttons to reawaken it. This can be annoying if you accidentally press a key that causes the program that you are running to do some unexpected thing. I have found that the right-click is usually the safest thing to press.

The positioning of buttons on the keyboard is done really well, and there are several of both the right and left click buttons that help you with your navigation.

The keyboard is fairly solidly built, and it feels very comfortable in your hands.

Overall, if I had to buy an inexpensive wireless keyboard for my media center I would definitely consider this one again.
