I don't have great experiences with dentists. The last time I saw a dentist I bit his finger, true story. Anyways ... since then I have been reluctant to visit the old tooth doctor, which can't be good for my winning smile.
It's not that I don't take care of my teeth because I do. I brush them twice a day, sometimes three times. I floss with Placker's, um ... when I remember. And when Listerine is on sale at Target, I use that too.
Okay, I suck but I knew I needed a change. So I got myself an electric toothbrush and not one of those crappy spinbrushes from Target (they suck), I got myself a fancy Oral B toothbrush -- the fanciest actually.
I went with the Oral B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart Guide because I trust Oral B and the Smart Guide is the coolest. Now, I am only one brushing deep but I do have some opinions ...
Set-Up: It wasn't very easy to assemble mostly because my usually kick ass arms weren't strong enough to pull open battery backings and things like that. I had to get my boy toy to help me. It was pretty easy for him after he stopped rolling his eyes at me.
The Smart Guide was pretty easy to set up (once I got the batteries in.) You just set the time and you are ready to brush.
Use: I charged the toothbrush overnight and in the morning it was ready to go. I put on a brush head (except I am not sure it was the right one?? One is for normal brushing and I think the other one was a polisher/ flosser) and started brushing.
The Smart Guide has a timer (2 mins) and a visual aid that shows you which section of your mouth to brush (4 sections at 30 seconds each.) There is even a cute animated tooth on there and when you finish brushing a smiley face appears.
I have never had so much fun brushing in my life. I was actually bummed when the timer went off because I wanted to keep going. I actually did keep brushing for another 30 seconds because you can't brush your teeth without hitting up the old tongue. You know?
When I finished brushing my teeth felt extra clean and sparkly! Can't wait to get home to brush them clean again.
