Life is filled with unexpected twists and turns. Some of those twists turn into huge life-changing events which are outside of your control. How do you handle it and move forward? And not only survive but thrive in the process?
In RAGGED HOPE, Cynthia Ruchti looks tells the stories of people who have been through significant life events. Each chapter contains a kernel of truth and insight about how they moved ahead and as the subtitle of this book says, "surviving the fallout of other people's choices."
I loved what Ruchti writes in the final pages of her book which shows the purpose, "But this isn't a how-to book. It isn't a how-come book. It's a celebration of the human spirit, the courageous resolve of those determined to survive despite the fallout of other people's choices, and the exquisite redemptive power of the God who can wring beauty from ashes." (Page 196-197)
I highly recommend RAGGED HOPE. Individuals will need it. Counselors and pastors can give this resources to others. Friends and relatives can give this book confident of the hope each page contains.
