Pros: Quite a lot of pieces in this 2lb. jar will last you a while.

Cons: If fed to many the dog can get quite gassy.

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this treat, for your dog. It is not very expensive and your dog will of love them.

My wife and I were looking for a dog treat that would help clean the dogs teeth. We don't think this will clean their teeth, but we know that after giving this to them they love the treat. That is what we discovered this chicken jerky by Ranch Rewards. We found this in a 2 pound jar at Costco for just a shade under six dollars. We have been going to Costco for several years now but this is the first time that we saw this in there. I know that they rotate stock quite frequently, and chances are the next time we go back there they will not have this again.

Description
These jerky treats come in a 2 pound clear jar with a yellow lid and a pop-up handle. There are several treats inside, which I can not give you a count because it depends on the weight of the jar and its contents and not the actual amount of treats that is inside. Each individual treat is brown in color, and is five to 6 inches long and 1/8 of an inch to one quarter of an inch thick. If you have three dogs such as the case for me, two of the dogs are very small, while I have one large dog, it is hard for me not to play favoritism when giving them a treat. They are so very cute when they sit and stare at you and beg for a treat. So when this happens, I usually try and break one of the treats in half and give it to the smaller dogs, then I give the other dog to larger one, a whole piece, it that satisfies all the dogs.

Features .
The main features about this treat, is the fact that it comes in a 2 pound reusable jar. Once you have emptied this jar, you can buy smaller packages and refill the jar. These treats a very high in protein, plus 97% fat free and are made up of premium chicken breasts. I wonder if they use those Perdue chicken breasts, they are supposed to be the best. I have yet to find a dog that would turn down one of these treats. Plus they are made by USDA specifications. This way, you will not have to worry about whether or not your dog will get sick off of them. There is one precaution that the company advertises and that is, (which I think is silly). It says do not allow you dog chew torn pieces. They say, these could be come a choking hazard. I really don't understand this, because they are supposed to chew these up into smaller pieces so that they can swallow them.

Ingredients
What is inside a one of these little tasty tidbits, is real chicken breasts, water, flavoring, artificial coloring, dextrose, sodium chloride, and tipped in potassium sorbate. The guaranteed analysis of this product is 60% crude protein, 2.3% of crude fat, .3% of crude fiber, there is 14% moisture and 8% of crude ashes.

Conclusion
My final recommendation of this product is, I thought it would be quite smelly when I first opened the bag, but when I opened the bag I could hardly detect any smell at all. Plus my dogs love them whenever they hear that package noise when you try to open it. You can't just sneak it by them, they will run in the room and about trample you to get their treat. Just remember, if you feed them too many at one time you will remember it the next time. The reason that I say this is because they can get quite gassy if you give him to many of these. Well, if you don't believe me just go ahead and try it and you will see for yourself, the smell will be quite pungent. The dogs will even make a face and move away from the spot that the smell is coming from. Your dogs are probably smarter than everyone thinks, because even humans try to get out of a bad smelling situation. Also, these are fat-free treats so if your dog is a little overweight. You should not have to worry about how many they get. I usually just give them one every day in the morning, and they are happy for the rest of the day.
