I've become interested in DIY stuff since I feel like a lot of things now are easier and cheaper to fix yourself. Thanks to the relatively inexpensive prices of DIY kits and with the help of youtube videos I think almost anything now can be fixed without having to spend extra $$$ to get someone else to do it for you.
So having said that, I figured that fixing my watch bands would be simple with this device that I found on Amazon for only $6.20. The last time I got my watch band adjusted, it cost me $15!
Yesterday, the kit arrives and I put it to the test. I hadn't attempted anything like this with any of my watches before but after reading the text instructions, it seemed simple enough.
The kit comes with 3 Pin Removing Punches: 0.7mm. 0.8mm and 1.00mm, a watch hammer with a metal and plastic head and a link bracelet holder base:
I placed the watch into the link bracelet holder base and gently used one of the pin removers to hammer out the pins in the watch.
I removed two of the links, hammered it back in and within about 2 minutes, I had adjusted the links!
It really only took me about 5 minutes total, from opening the package to fixing the links. It's probably one of the simplest DIY things out there and it was great considering I saved time and money by buying this kit. I highly recommend it for anyone that needs to adjust watch bands!
