One for One

I love TOMS shoes. It helps that for every pair of shoes bought, they give a pair to a child in need, but the shoes are so comfortable. I often forget I am even wearing shoes and when I come into some money, I plan on buying another pair. The shoes are well made and while they aren't waterproof (I accidentally wore mine on a day when the sky decided to open up) they can be washed and thrown in the dryer and come out looking spiffy. I think the idea behind TOMS shoes is great! They are really trying to make a difference in the world one step at a time (pun intended) through fashion. It's wonderful that these shoes have really caught on as a major trend among hipsters. In Desperate Need!

I have seen all the hype about TOMS Shoes, but have yet to get my hands on a pair (I know, save your gasps). I think they are a perfect pair for just about anything to achieve a casual, carefree vibe. Plus, they pretty much scream spring/summer, so what am I waiting for? TOMS are quite comfortable, but they do shrink when they get wet, so be careful. That makes them hard to wash, though they get dirty very easily. I still love my TOMS, even if they are a little too tight.

I want to love these shoes and buy a pair because I think the company is doing a great thing with their mission, but unfortunately TOMS shoes will never appear on my feet. I really don't think they're attractive....at all. I saw a spiffed up pair at Nordstrom's recently. They were gold, with gold sequins. I thought about trying them on, but i just couldn't do it.
