Too many bodies

This is a very well written novel by a first time published author who, I truly believe, has a very fine future as a writer ahead of her. The prose is elegant, the characters believable, and the plot well thought out and quite interesting.

A rather nondescript fellow is driven to murder, and buries the body in his back yard. When he hires a landscape firm to do some work on the side yard, two other bodies are discovered, having nothing to do with the other murder, or with the main character.

Police are involved, and the homeowner is driven to distraction by the thought that the cops will come into his yard with cadaver sniffing dogs, and his grisly secret will be revealed to the world. He decides that he's just going to have to dig up the body and put it someplace else. Fine plan, doesn't work.

Enter the female friend of the male body found in the side yard, and also the fellow who is responsible for the two murders. Add to that a quite interesting and intelligent dog, and you get quite a story! It moves quickly and I found myself reading and turning the pages as fast as I could to find out what was going to happen. The ending was quite satisfying, and I look forward to many more excellent books from this author.
