Great little toothbrush! It comes down to a matter of preference, but the Ultreo worked out fine for me. I was used to my previous brushing implement, Sonicare; Ultreo is a different experience.    The Ultreo brushhead is larger and odder, which takes a bit of getting used to. Funny thing is that the manual toothbrush I used to use had about the same size head, so when I got the Sonicare I had to get used to their smaller head, but with Ultreo, the big head is back.    It's …

Prior to using the Ultreo, the closest I'd come to trying an electric toothbrush was a little AA battery powered stocking stuffer. The rough vibration of those cheap little electrics doesn't even come close to the tingly smooth feeling operation of an Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush. With minimal effort on my part the bristles take over and hum their way across my enamels, leaving them feeling clean and tingly. It takes a day or two to get used to -- since you use the Ultreo a bit differently than …

I've been using a Sonicare toothbrush for some time and my hygienist and I have always been satisfied with its performance, so I didn't expect this Ultreo toothbrush to make such a difference. But I noticed what a good job it did the first time I used it, and every time I've used it since I have been similarly impressed.    There are a few things about this that are less than ideal, which is why I only gave it four stars. For one thing, I would have liked it if the Ultreo had …

(3.5 points)   I had bought a Phillips Sonicare on the recommendation of my dental hygienist a month before Ultreo, so I was able to compare these toothbrushes for several days.     Brushing action:   Phillips Sonicare cleans teeth by using a "sonic energy" created by 30K+ bristle sweeps a minute. The bristle sweeps do a great job of getting my teeth super clean that they don't feel "furry" even after the whole day. If you've been using a manual brush before …

At first I was skeptical of the claims that Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbursh can give you that dentist chair feeling. I must say that I have mildly surprised by the quality of the product. I also wondered if the "Ultrasound" claim was just marketing non-sense.... until my dog ran out of the room while I was brushing my teeth. My dog (Waddles) had never previously taken an issue with my tooth cleaning routine so some sort of sound must be coming from this thing!      Another …

As part of the Amazon Vine review program, I received a Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush for use and review. After close to a week of use, I can say I really like it, although I'm not sure I'd want to fork out the $170 for the system...    My previous toothbrush was one of those battery-powered off-the-shelf rotary brushes that you can get for about $15. That's nice for basic brushing, but all it really does is put some vibration behind your existing bad habits. With the Ultreo, …

Two weeks after receiving the Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush, I can honestly feel and see a difference with my teeth. There is not a doubt in my mind that my teeth are cleaner and whiter.     It seems funny to think that something as basic as a toothbrush could benefit as much from technology, but the Ultreo Ultrasound is an excellent example of technology being put to good use. First and most importantly, the ultrasound action makes for a far more effective cleaning. You can feel …

I am a complete novice with regard to electric toothbrushes; this is my very first one. While the vibration was a bit unnerving at first, I quickly adapted. Preset for 2 minute brushes, there is an alert that sounds every 30 seconds--which I love. The reality is, that my teeth have NEVER been this clean--barring a visit to the dentist. And the cleanliness seems to last longer..or is that just my imagination? Best yet...the toothbrush takes up VERY little space on my bathroom counter...where space …

I agree with a previous poster that some of these reviews seem very suspect. Rest assured that this is a real review from a person who actually is using the Ultreo (you can check out my other reviews to see that I've been posting them for a while).    But, the topic at hand is the Ultreo. Is it worth the money? Is it better than the other electric toothbrushes?    I think so, but "better" is a very subjective term. I've been using an Oral B electric toothbrush …
