My new favorite headphones for everyday use and travelling - even better than my Bose

The VModa Vibe earbud headphones have moved to the top of my list of headphones.  I own two pairs of high quality headphones: (i) the Bose QuietComfort 2, and (ii) the Vmoda Vibe earbuds.  I love my Bose.  The sound quailty is great, and when I started travelling with them, my life changed for the better.  I think overall, the Bose provide better sound than the VModa.  However, the sound and nosie cancelling capabilities of the two  headphones are pretty comparable,  and, because the VModa Vibe are earbuds, they take up about 1/100th of the space the Bose do.

Because of the much smaller size, the VModa Vibe are much more versatile than my Bose QuietComforts -  I can use them when I work out (you have to have some serious confidence to work out wearing the Bose) and, I prefer them over my Bose for flying and travel, because I can easily drop them in my carry on bag and they barely take up any room.

So, even though I think the Bose QuietComfort headphones are a great product, especially for frequent fliers and travelers, my VModa Vibe's have completely replaced them when I'm flying, because they're so much easier to carry.

When you factor in the 80-85% cheaper price tag on the VModa Vibe ($40 at Costco versus $300 for the Bose), I have to give the nod to the VModa vibe.

That's a great deal! I'll have to try to find those earbuds around here!

@TeamAWAC, I hope you find the sound quality up to your standards. I am no audiophile, however, when you consider the size-versatility-sound quality-price ratio, those babies are tough to beat.

Guess who came back from Costco $40 lighter this weekend. I have @Butter to thank for that... Too early to call on the sound quality at this point, but the little carrying case is great. Perfect size for iPod/iPhone and headphones.

I'm heading over there right now. I might pick up another pair for the hell of it.

$40 at Costco? Sign me up! I'm constantly looking for cost effective ways to drown out @fcarta at the workplace.
