Pros: Excellent product for clearing up allergies.

Cons: Can be somewhat expensive

The Bottom Line: As a product for clearing up the painful burning of allergies, this is by far the best for the eyes that I have found to date.

Every year around the beginning of spring, I know that my eyes are going to water and burn, my nose is going to be super sensitive, and my skin is going to itch. It doesn't really seem to matter what I do, the allergies always attack me the same way.

One of the most painful parts of the allergy season are the itchy red eyes. One day while I was buying eye drops, I noticed that they had drops specifically for the purpose of allergy relief. This seemed like the perfect product for my situation, so I quickly scooped up a package of the Visine Allergy Relief drops.

The Concept
Essentially the Visine Allergy Relief Drops have an anti-histimine that takes away the itching and resolves the redness over time. This assumes that you actually have allergies that are causing the problem. If you have anything else, I highly doubt these drops are going to fix that problem.

Application
The bottle itself is relatively small and has it's own applicator tip, so that it's really easy to just purchase and throw in your eye. I realize that most people have issues putting eye drops in their eyes, but if you just place a small amount in the corner of your eye, with it closed, creating a tiny pool of Visine, then open your eye slowly while looking at the sky, the fluid will fill your eye without the discomfort of watching a drop fall into it.

At first when the drop hits your eye, if your eyes are really red, you will notice a slight burn. This burn doesn't last all that long, however it is relatively uncomfortable at first, but as your allergy fades, so does the pain when you first apply the drops.

I generally start to notice a result about 30 minutes after application. This is usually enough time for the burn to subside and for the drops to start cooling my eye, while the anti-histamine does its' job.

Effectiveness
Generally, the drops work great without any issue at all. I rarely ever have any real itching or irritation in my eye after application. The main thing is to remember that it's only going to work if you use it on a regular basis while your allergies are flared up.

In comparison to other medicines or drops that I have tried, this one definitely has the best results and is by far the most affective at clearing up the redness.
