Is this Britney's best song? No, but it is the mark of a turn around for her. 'Womanizer' isn't the bubble-gum pop brand of the 'Oops! ... I Did It Again' brand and yet it is just as fun and addictive as some of her older stuff with a bit of a rock edge to it. 'Womanizer' is comparable to 'Stronger' with the big production of the instrumental and mechanical sounds that kick off the song and yet it's still in the vein of "Blackout" tracks such as 'Radar' and 'Ooh Ooh Baby'. While being a tad bit repetitive, it still manages to hook you with the chorus and Spears' willingness to toss in some tabloid ammunition with lyrics like, "You say I'm crazy? I've got your crazy!". Really, it's a fast-paced, women empowerment, 'down with the cheating man' song that once I purchased it, I found myself playing it on repeat non-stop and have yet to get tired from it.
Definitely for those looking for a healthy dose of pop reminiscent of the Britney Spears that dominated the charts back in the late 90s and early 2000s. You can tell she had fun with this track and it's definitely fun, exciting and catchy and worth the download price. Check it out.
