If I had to cite the one thing that truly makes a difference on a drum kit it would be these sleeves. Believe it or not but back in my early days of playing circa 1964 we gave no thought to cymbal sleeves and the result is a slew of otherwise great cymbals today with serious keyholing. I have provided a customer-supplied image at the top of this page to illustrate what I mean.
These sleeves positively prevent keyholes and the twenty-four in this pack will outfit most drum kits plus provide spares for those inevitable times when you lose one during teardown after a long gig.
The tubing is relatively thick-walled and pliable. The length is perfect for folks like myself who do not use top felts. Most importantly, though, is that they fit both 6mm and 8mm screw posts on vintage and modern stands. Think of this as a very inexpensive way to protect a large investment in cymbals. I guarantee that a cymbal mounted without a sleeve is going to keyhole (or worse) in a relatively short time. I also can say with confidence that these will prevent it.
