I'm going on a trip to Europe and I'm bringing my iPad along for the ride. Anyone know any great travel apps I can use? Apps like maps (without needing WiFi or 3G just in case), booking hotels, train times, etc.

Hostelworld (Free and doesn't need connection) for hostels by city
Google SMS. If you text a word and zip code, you'll get Google search results as a text: Bagels in 95014 and I get my local Noah's.
TripIt organizes all your itineraries in one spot, maps and links to local restaurants, hotels, stores, etc based on your itinerary
iRail needs WiFi or 3G and is $2.99 but, will give you maps and timetables (not updated with delays, etc).
There are quite a few others- AroundMe, Flight Track, etc but they need WiFi!
