Not a bad meal, not a bad deal when you are on the run.

When Boston Market came to our town in the mid-1990's I immediately became a fan.  Here was a place that offered hot and reasonably nutritious meals at a very affordable price.  Back in those days there were lots of coupon deals available which made Boston Market even more attractive to me.  Since that time the original owners found it necessary to file for bankruptcy (probably due to overexpansion) and the chain has since been sold a couple of times.  But Boston Market appears to have weathered the storm and still offers a great variety of food at a very reasonable price.

These days there are over 500 Boston Market locations in 28 states.  A full meal will run you about $10.00 but trust me you will not walk away hungry.  Choose from entrees like the original rotisserie chicken that put this chain on the map, beef brisket, roasted turkey or meatloaf.  I generally order either chicken or roasted turkey while my wife prefers the meatloafAll are outstanding!   Or maybe you are in the mood for the Pastry Top Chicken Pot Pie which is offered for just $5.99.  This one really hits the spot on a cold winter night!   What I love about Boston Market is they offer so many different sides.  You can either indulge yourself or eat healthy.....you make the call!   Choose from fresh steamed vegetables, cinnamon apples, mashed potatoes, garlic dill new potatoes, fresh vegetable stuffing, mac and cheese or perhaps seasonal fresh fruit.   You also get a slab of cornbread with each individual meal.  Meanwhile, Boston Market also offers some great soups, salads and sandwiches for the lunchtime crowd.   An assortment of desserts are also available but we never have room.   The bottom line is that I don't think I have never walked out of a Boston Market location dissatisfied.

Over the years I have become less and less inclined to eat at fast food joints.  It is just so much more economical to eat at home!   But like everyone else I am busy and every once in awhile I need to find a decent meal on the run.  Since I just don't do places like McDonald's or Burger King anymore Boston Market is one ot the places I immediately think of.   I find that the food is always hot, freshly prepared and consistently delicious.  Highly recommended

Not a bad meal, not a bad deal when you are on the run. Not a bad meal, not a bad deal when you are on the run. Not a bad meal, not a bad deal when you are on the run. Not a bad meal, not a bad deal when you are on the run.

When I became a vegetarian, Boston Market was one of the restaurants I missed the most. You're right - it's fast food, but it's fresh and substantial. I also worked there for about a week and a half in high school. I think mostly so I could get free samples :)

I've seen these on the East Coast, but have never actually tried it before.  You have me convinced, Paul!  A menu doesn't get more traditional American than that.  Now to pull up the Boston Market website for locations... :D
