Nice little traditional brasserie producing food reminiscent of my time in Paris, France.

This restaurant is new to the Culver City scene only being open the last 6 months.  The restaurant is crafted in the style of brasserie's found all over Paris. My wife and I had seen this place open for a while with crowds on the weekend and we had always made a note that we needed to check out this place.  Just recently we decided we should check it out and see if this restaurant would throw us back to our Paris trip since we loved it there so much.  My first impression of the place was that you definitely get a flavor of Paris immediately with French waiters and stylings of the place.  You'll see by the pictures that they make use of red leather seating and have plenty of seating.   The other thing I noticed about this place is that the mean age of the clientele here was bordering on mid to late 40's.  I don't know what this may be an indication of but from what we could tell, people seem to be having a really good time.  I don't expect 20 year old college students to find this place that appealing just because of the nature of the experience being that it's probably more for someone who's looking for the authentic experience.  The food was very good and very traditional french brasserie style food.  We definitely felt like we were whisked away to Paris for a brief moment.

A couple notes:
1) The menu is in French so take a look it online before you go to have an idea of what you're getting.
2) They have a large french onion soup so no need to get two.

What we had:
1) Entrecote au Poivre - Perfectly grilled rib eye with crispy fries with a pepper sauce.  The peppr sauce was very good.
2) Entrecote Bearnaise - Same as above except with a bearnaise sauce.  A bearnaise sauce is a hot emulsified butter sauce made of clarified butter, egg yolks, and a tarragon, shallot, chervil, peppercorn and wine vinegar reduction.
3) French Onion Soup - Like I said earlier, very good but just way too much.

Decor - Definitely a throwback to a Parisian brasserie. They have a nice size outdoor seating area where you can people watch as you eat.

Food - Very good.  I saw some folks get steamed muscles that I thought looked really good but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Service - Service was just okay.  We had to wait a while for our food and the older folks seem to get more attentive service.

Wine - This was just okay as well.  I got their house wine which was alright.  I think they're still working out the kinks.

Dessert - Unfortunately, the extra soup left us with no room for dessert so I have nothing to report on that.

Dress - Casual works here.

I think this is a nice place to take a date or for a nice time out without breaking the bank.  It's not cheap but it's expensive either for the quality and quantity of the food you get.  This is definitely a place you can come back to on a recurring basis without feeling like it's going to break the bank.  Good food for a decent price.

Oh wow, for some reason I expected much higher prices! That's so reasonable.

I like the look of its outdoor sitting. The internal looks more Spanish to me anyhow. Love Ribeye so that sounds great! However, don't think I'll be in the U.S. in near future but will be in Canada instead. Do you know if they have another outlet in Canada? ;-) Hmmm, where are the pictures of the FOOD!!!!!!
