Surfing San Onofre? You have to go by Pedro's Tacos in San Clemente for some post surfing grub

Okay, @TeamAWAC is an expert in the burrito department.  No question about it, the man loves his burritos and is on a mission to find the best burrito in the land.  What he is to burritos, I am to tacos.  Fish tacos, ground beef tacos, shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, asada tacos - I love 'em and Pedro's makes a good taco that is usually made even better by the fact that when I go and buy them I have been hanging out at the beach all day.

My personal favorites are the classic fish taco and the shrimp taco.  Pedro's keeps thing fairly simple with their tacos (one of the key things for me).  You get your fish or shrimp, some cabbage, salsa and their sauce all wrapped in a soft taco shell - and it isn't one of those wimply little 3 or 4 inch tortillas.  As I said, they don't do anything to fancy, no mangos or fruity salsas, just a simple classic Southern California taco stands tacos.

Pedro's also has a potato taco on the menu.  I have to say, I am a pretty big fan of this one also.   Imagine a McDonald's hash brown in a taco and you have it.  Now imagine surfing for a few hours and then going to Pedro's and paying $1.89 for one.  Now you really have it.

You've got me sold on Pedros! I love seafood tacos and I've been meaning to try potato tacos. Thanks for sharing!

Despite my affinity for burritos, I still love Pedros Tacos. My only surf trip to San Onofre was a bust (10ft + closeouts), but the tacos were a highlight. Whenever I'm headed down to Oceanside or San Diego area, I try to plan the trip to ensure that we're rolling by Pedros right around lunch time.
