Red Lobster is a chain of seafood restaurants with locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Japan. The restaurant serves seafood and many non-seafood items in a casual setting aimed at all demographic segments of the population.

Red Lobster began in 1968 as a private enterprise in Lakeland, Florida. Today, the company is headquartered in Orlando and is a part of Darden Restaurants, which operates more than 600 Red Lobster locations worldwide.

There are two, and only two reasons that I go to Red Lobster - The Cheddar Bay Biscuits and the Calamari & Vegetables.

Pretty gross if you ask me.

A French teacher of mine once said, "Don't eat seafood in months that don't have the letter 'r'." Well, the same expression works in English, too. But let's just say the expression should also say, "And don't eat seafood at restaurants that start with 'Red' and end in 'Lobster'." I have heard of countless friends of mine getting sick from eating seafood here. It's just not that fresh, and many of their locations receive substandard ratings from county health departments.
