This is one of the restaurant I frequent most while in Japan. Why? Simply because it's conveniently located & serve good sushi. Where? At Narita Airport Terminal 1 outside the immigration area.
Arriving into Tokyo can sometimes be a hassle. It took me 1 hour just to get through immigration if there is a major public holiday in the surrounding areas & flights from Hong Kong & Singapore were all full. Hence, many tourists because of the long weekend holiday.
Anyway, sometimes the connection time for the airport limousine to downtown Tokyo can be longer than necessary. At these times, I usually go to the sushi restaurant if I'm hungry or just shop around the shops at the airport.
Plenty to do at Narita so killing 2-3 hours has never been a problem. It's always better to check in much earlier as well so that you wouldn't be stuck in the traffic jam & hence missed your flights. Staying another extra night in Tokyo or Narita is by no means cheap & would involve lots of other inconveniences.
Hence, I usually prefer to have dinner at the airport b4 boarding the plane. Hate the food on the plane these days. Well, if I've a choice, I rather eat at the airport! This is a very good place to have a decent meals.
Cost for a set meal is around 2000-2300 yen. Sushi generally but sashimi can be ordered as well. Sushi in Japan are very different from other countries due to the rice they use in Japan. It's a lot more springy and taste much better. Also, the way the chef handles the rice is of great importance. I found sushi best in Tokyo! And the variety of toppings are unheard of over here. If you don't plan to spend too much, don't order them individually, else it'll cost you a bomb! But with a major credit card, there's really no big problem ;-)
