Uncle Bill McElroy opened Uncle Bill's in 1961. Or rather, half of it was Uncle Bill's - the south end was a barbershop until 1999. Paul Allen Van Amburgh bought the restaurant in 1973, remodeled the place a bit, and added a few tables. In 2000 the restaurant expanded again into the space vacated by the barbershop, and we opened the outdoor patio. The restaurant remains in the Van Amburgh family, who are happy to welcome you for breakfast and lunch every day.

Big fan of Uncle Bills! I love their omelette's and make sure you ask for your hash browns well done. Oh and the orange juice is bomb as well!

it's always too crowded for my tastes. I only go if i have guests in town. very greasy spoon type of food, but it is tasty!
