Not the best CD out there...but some strong tracks

Carolyn is a favorite of mine. Partly because I am a country music fan and female therefore I am constantly searching for and supporting "the next big country female vocal" but also because she has been writing hits for the big names for years.

This CD of hers (released in 2006) opened quite a few doors for her. It featured "Complicated" which not only topped country charts but also crossed over to the pop scene for a few months, and it also feared the title track-- A Room With A View...which is a favorite of mine, simple because I am a sap and its "sappiness" in its purest form. Here is a sample of the lyrics:

Anyway...you get the point. The CD itself isnt her best work, I hear her new CD which will be out in a few months is supposed to be her "reinvent herself" debut...but nonetheless this was a bad try for Carlyn Dawn Johnson...atleast she is singing her own beautiful words. Who knew she had such an amazing voice to match those lyrics...
