It's remarkable to me that the Chicago Cubs somehow get the all-time loser reputation, along with the Boston Red Sox until 2004. The former's first half of their existence is littered with Pennants, and even though they endured a very long and extended down period between 1945 and the mid-80's, they've reached a point in which they're at least trying and have had numerous bright spots.
