A must if you shop with an infant!

The Baby Trend Snap N Go is an essential item if you plan on shopping often with your infant. Sure there are lightweight and easy folding strollers on the market, but that would mean you have to take baby out of the car seat - and that is no fun if he is sleeping. Plus if you want a lightweight, easy fold, and full recline that is suitable for an infant, you could end up with an empty wallet.

If you are not planning on any rough terrain and you do not anticipate broken sidewalks, the Snap N Go may be the only set of wheels you'll need for your little one until he or she outgrows the infant car seat. It is also a good compliment to an all-terrain full size stroller, in my case the Kolcraft Contours. That stroller is so cumbersome to fold and carry that I reserve it only for walks around the neighborhood. The Snap N Go on the other hand is a snap (pun intended) to unfold and very light. I don't need my husband's help with it. Most of the time my daughter falls asleep in the car and it is great not to have to transfer her to a stroller. I even do all my food shopping with it since I do not buy a lot at a time and I go twice a week.

There are a few quirks about this car seat carrier that I wish could be made better. For one thing, the basket below can't hold too much weight and can rip if you put too much in it. Would be nice if it was reinforced in some way to carry more weight. Also, it is hard to access with the car seat placed on top, that could be fixed by a curved opening in the front so you don't have to stuff the diaper bag in (I think I might have an older model, so maybe this is different in the new one). An upgrade on the wheels would be terrific, it is hard to turn, or sometimes when you want it to go straight it starts turning - really annoying. At the price of $60 -70 I think they could do better on the wheels. They did do well on the fold though, the carry handle, and the parent tray with cupholders and a locking compartment that is great for shopping lists, pen, and car keys. Overall a great value, especially if you get it used because I don't think it is worth paying $70 for just 8-10 months of use. Of course if you get something like the Orbit Baby system, you'll never need this thing!

Wish they made a snap and go for bigger kids!

Well, they do! But not the same company and certainly not the same price! The Orbit Baby that I mentioned has a toddler car seat (and infant seat as well)  that can be placed right in the stroller frame, you can check out the graphic directly here (look at the bottom). But the price on that thing is insane, about $900+ for the infant system, and an extra $350+ for the toddler seat. Like buying a used car!
