A stroller by Bugaboo
I have owned several double strollers and numerous strollers and this is my double favorite stroller by far! I love how stylish it looks and how durable it is. This double stroller just glides. It pushes really well even with heavy/older kids in it and does not list to the side of the heavier child like many doubles do. The steering is amazing because of the front swivel wheels and because the stroller is pretty short and narrow for a double. It is the easiest double to maneuver by far. It is perfect for city dwellers for that reason. It glides in and out of shops, restaurants and elevators. I have even used mine in the subway train! The Duo also has rear suspension and hefty tires so you will be able to tackle any kind of terrain.
The Duo is heavy to lift but you do not feel any of that weight when you push it. It weighs 35 pounds but it is solid. This stroller will withstand use and abuse because it is well built. It also has a very high weight limit - it can carry up to 110 pounds of kiddo!
The Duo is easy to fold but it has a long fold so it may not fit in some vehicles. It does have a standing fold as well if you need to store it in a small garage or closet.
The stroller is rugged looking but plush. The seats are nicely padded and the buckles are easy to use. It comes with a nice water bottle holder (which happens to fit my wallet perfectly)and tons of storage. The basket is huge and easily accessible because there is a lot of clearance between the basket and the seats. The basket has mesh pockets on the side for small items like diapers and wipes, a zippered pocket in front for things like keys, phones, etc. and two sippy cup/bottle holders on the sides in addition to the roomy center. I added a Skip Hop saddlebag to mine and use it as a parent console. I also added a Valco cupholder to it for my drinks.
The handlebar adjusts so that both short and tall parents can use it comfortably. It has a metal footrest so your stroller won't get dirty with wet/snowy shoes. The stroller comes with a nicely padded bumper bar and has large canopies with mesh visors which protect your children from the sun's rays without blocking their view.
The stroller can be used with a single carrycot and one seat, a double carrycot, a car seat adapter or two seats.
Now on to the few cons:
The seats are narrow (which is why the stroller itself is so narrow), so it is probably not a good choice for hefty kiddos.
The stroller does not have a lot of headroom for tall kids (my 42 inch tall DS's head reaches the canopy when it is pulled back - he does fit when it is extended but does not have a lot of clearance). It also has a non-adjustable footrest. My son can still ride in it comfortably though.
The harness and recline mechanism are not as easy to adjust as the mechanism in other strollers.
The price is hefty but I think it is worth it. The stroller is a tank and will last for years and years and hold up really well. You are paying for top-notch steering, construction and an excellent push.
I would recommend this double without hesitation.
