Azumanga Daioh features an ensemble of young women, each with a distinct issue or personality for viewers to relate to. From struggling to fit in to annoying best friends to a sympathy for the neighborhood cats that borders on obsession, Azumanga Daioh squeezes in something for everyone. Originally, the series aired in five minute segments every weekday with a 25-minute compilation episode airing on the weekend. As a result, these longer, conventional episodes are segmented into chunks of five with a sort of miniature plot for each segment. ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
Uuuuhhhhhgghhhh!! I have one question. This shit is clearly made for girls, so why the fuck are male anime fans watching this? Aside from this anime being loaded with totally unfunny "random" humor, the overly-sugary visuals of the main characters nearly gave me diabetes. Whatever you do, don't let Wilford Brimley get anywhere near this.
