The Book of Kells Exhibition – is housed within the grounds of historic Trinity college. It is definitely a “must see” for Dublin. The Book of Kells is a gospel manuscript from 800 A.D. that was totally hand done by Irish monks with beautiful calligraphy and even more stunning full color illustrations. They show sample pages blown up to poster size so you can see the intricate work these monks did by candlelight.

It's also fun to just hang out at the college itself and have a bite to eat at the cafeteria and listen to the young minds that will shape Ireland.
