Many of the cartoon shows based off videogames tend to suck (The Legend of Zelda and Captain N: The Game Master are two that come to mind), but Earthworm Jim was one of the few exceptions. It had solid visuals that matched the spirit of the iconic 16-bit game, had jokes that are still funny as an adult, and features a good deal of talented voice actors like Dan Castellaneta, Charlie Adler, Kath Soucie, and Jim Cummings.
It's a shame that with so many shitty nostalgic cartoons based off videogames that are released on DVD, Earthworm Jim has yet to get a DVD release in North America (though the Australians released the show on DVD recently). Who knows, maybe an online petition might motivate Universal to release this show on DVD.

For reasons I can't recall, I remember skipping this.

If you're at all interested, you can find whole episodes on YouTube (though they're edited so they won't get removed). I say a good episode to start with is "Conqueror Worm."
