House...The game is afoot!
The televisions show house is a modern adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  Gregory House is the Sherlock Holmes character, who uses his genious level knowledge of all things medical and deductive reasoning to solve various "cases" presented in each episode.      Sherlock Holmes had an addiction to Cocaine and Morphine.  House is addicted to Vicodan and other painkillers.  Sherlock had his foil in Dr. John H. Watson, …

What gives a show longevity in my opinion is how well it can hold up with each new season and what it does to keep it's basic premise and formula from getting too stale. While I love House to death, it wasn't without it's problems in seasons three through five. The formula almost became, in the words of a friend, "a parody of itself." Couldn't have agreed more. What surprised me the most about this most recent season, however, is that the makers decided to go places with the characters …

I admit I said I was getting tired of House's attitude on previous seasons, and last year I missed all of the episodes, but now I am getting too curious as to what I have missed! LOL I think that maybe after watching so many reruns of House, I got tired of it. I intend to start watching it again this season, and just skip all the reruns and House marathons! Thank you guys for making me interested in the show again!!

I can't help feeling it was better in the earlier series--or even it was fantastic in the earlier series. I loved the way each episode was like a well structured story in itself.

I just finally caught up on House and watched the finale on Hulu last night. I felt as if it was just another episode, finales usually stand out and apart, bu this was a little disappointing. I guess they writers considered the big crane crash a dramatic end, but all I have to say is if Cuddy and House did not kiss it would not have been anything special.      I acknowledge that there was also his breakdown about his leg, but honestly, same old stuff, we all know …

I used to watch House faithfully, as I really enjoyed his character and smart-ass remarks, but have since lost my interest - it seems his character was getting more unrealistic as time went on; he has become too self-centered and selfish and the things he gets by with as a Doctor are just not feasible; working in a hospital for years myself, no doctor would be able to pull off what he does without getting canned. House's attitude just got old really quick for me.

Good show but I got tired of it. Didn't watch it last year.

Formulaic but enjoyable. I'm not satisfied with only subtext fanservice and innuendo.

Awesome show, it covers so many different aspects of life besides just the hospital setting. The character House is amazing.

I am a medical student and watching House is very interesting to hear. Great show and fun storyline!

House is fun to watch. House himself can be so blunt, you either laugh or gag. He says things most people only think, so that's refreshing

I've only caught the show a few times, but House M.D. is hysterical. Love his sarcasm and wit. When I have the time, this will be the show I rent the seasons of and watch them all day!

His sacrasm and sass will never get old.

An okay show. I like house, but the overly sensualness of it bothers me.

His attitude is starting to bore me!

Great show. Interesting way to look at the different ways doctors look at things. Though it is fictional, it still has good bits of reality.

The House Team
Forget E.R. and forget Grays Anatomy, there's a new man in town and his name is Dr. House. He isn't here to cure you, he's here to solve the puzzle of your hidden illness.     I only came across House about a year ago when flicking through the TV channels trying to find something on. BBC 1 (Crap), BBC2 (Crap), ITV (Crap), Channel 4 (Crap), Channel 5 (Cra... Hello, is that Hugh Laurie?). Up to that particular point I had never even heard of the show but I was a massive fan of …

House has come back from it's two season slump with what might be the best season yet.

While my past experience with medical dramas has been limited to ER re-runs (I loved it when Clooney was in the mix), House has quickly become one of the few weekly programs I tune in for. I say quickly because I've only been watching it for a month or two, re-runs and new episodes alike. I believe the main reason for the attraction is in Hugh Laurie's moving portrayal of a man both blessed and cursed with the ability to reach the heart of the matter without taking shortcuts (unless of course he …

I try to avoid doctors, but not House - he sure is an entertaining character. I am a product of the medical mistakes that are so prevalent (don't ask), so I am very critical of medical intervention in real life. This show is very addictive though and the life/death situations keep you on the edge of the seat. It does somewhat portray the medical profession - like how pharmaceutical companies have the last word because they are the ones with money, or how doctors have to guess at your condition and …

House is the more serious and real version of Becker. Makes me miss Becker, but I still love me some House!

It's wonderful to see an a-typical doctor cure a-typical diseases in his off beat not the norm fashion.   House is an amazing actor and brings a different approach to medicine and his  lack of bed-side manner or not...i would love to have him as my doctor!!!!

To be honest, I'm really not a huge fan of your typical doc dramas like ER and Grey's Anatomy, but this show won me over big-time. Hugh Laurie steals the show as a slightly jaded and bitter practitioner with a penchant for talking back to his patients...and while there are certainly many nail-biting, dramatic moments in any given episode,  there's enough sarcastic comic relief to keep me consistently tuned into all of the "House" marathons that USA's been having lately.
